Marilyn Byrd | Associate Attorney
Marilyn Byrd received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Barry University and became licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida in 1988. During nursing school, she worked as a health and fitness instructor certified by the American College of Sports Medicine. In 1991, she received her Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Law School, passed the Florida Bar in February 1991 and became licensed to practice law in April 1991. She worked her way through law school practicing nursing at various hospitals in South Florida.
Marilyn Byrd began her legal practice as an Assistant State Attorney with the Broward County State Attorney’s Office prosecuting misdemeanor crimes. She later joined private firms practicing personal injury and medical malpractice. Marilyn’s practice is currently focused on personal injury claims and defending homeowners in Foreclosure Defense Litigation.
